　　A thousand leagues of whirling snow.

1 }- K  t6 R# |  A* [* S" y
　　The Yellow River"s swift current
0 U8 i$ H7 T- R
　　Is stilled from end to end.

　　The mountains dance like silver snakes
- f6 B2 j; ^( a/ ?1 Q0 W, S% h: a, x
　　And the highlands* charge like wax-hued elephants,

　　Vying with heaven in stature.

　　On a fine day, the land,

　　Clad in white, adorned in red,

　　Grows more enchanting.

& Q, j9 [6 u0 H6 y& c+ R& [　　This land so rich in beauty

% V; g* U& ?; U7 }/ q　　But alas! Chin Shih-huang and Han Wu-ti

8 i# E7 e- p  V　　Were lacking in literary grace,

4 K  Q4 x+ e- {2 T( x　　And Tang Tai-tsung and Sung Tai-tsu

' e% c; A1 i" m. U; |　　Had little poetry in their souls;
　　And Genghis Khan,

　　Proud Son of Heaven for a day,

　　Knew only shooting eagles, bow outstretched

　　All are past and gone!

　　江山如此多妖 引无数英雄竞折腰 惜秦皇汉武 略输文采
