　　A hundred leagues locked in ice,

　　A thousand leagues of whirling snow.

　　Both sides of the Great Wall

　　One single white immensity.

　　The Yellow River"s swift current

　　Is stilled from end to end.

5 x2 p. p$ ?4 A' b" L, |　　The mountains dance like silver snakes

# X3 c% k) _* x( A　　And the highlands* charge like wax-hued elephants,

　　Vying with heaven in stature.

　　Clad in white, adorned in red,

　　This land so rich in beauty

　　Had little poetry in their souls;

, S! p7 Z' S, t+ x: F) q3 V　　Proud Son of Heaven for a day,

　　Look to this age alone.
