An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports.

An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned.

% B/ }' o+ t1 K$ j: `3 m& w( PAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

3 j) x6 F+ n+ X, q7 `4 iShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.

) j, ~7 m: y1 X+ |Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.

7 Y4 Z1 o/ H0 W; gA Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Search efforts are still underway, as well as an RCMP investigation. (Nelly Gonzalez/CBC )
The names of the man and woman are not being made public by the RCMP.

Rivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.

% S8 R& S  ~! h4 L7 [是我的好朋友，中国人，老乡。他就站在那边钓鱼，结果被一辆四轮摩托车撞飞到河里，2天2夜，昨天找到尸首了。可怜他儿子还小，上有年迈的父母，他是家里的独子，现在要白发人送黑发人，好惨啊 呜呜呜

% E/ s3 {: ^9 y/ Z1 O1 q您说的对，ATV那简直是个魔鬼!血的教训，只是想提醒大家，生活在异国他乡的我们，为了这边跟国内的亲人，要好好珍惜自己。套用一句话:且行且珍惜!
