ATV crash leaves woman dead, man presumed drowned
o' x O/ P) s; |- [. V3 K An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports.

: l1 k. I- x: t/ d, `4 oAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned./ \" d' h* x. ?0 u( r
" n- {1 r' M! G n0 T7 ySearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.$ S0 j, d) g$ |

2 v8 g( y. [3 \Rivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.
