Orientation 2006: The Action Starts Here! Your registration in the University of

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By # k e" }! M0 G: R" J; q1 Z
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of , s2 `, j1 H& }! ^9 S
information that will make your transition to the University community ! D0 u8 b( [+ R/ R
more successful.

; U$ u4 w( _, W5 [of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically ! i8 G) y7 W0 @6 w, x
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 4 y9 X; G+ M1 B1 T* b
of directional information.# O- o. V/ B- ?+ g J
- O& k+ B' F8 w z6 lBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
$ N3 k2 T7 `3 L' f! i& h) |& jactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend + `) E+ [3 E3 x( g: _+ x& N
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 8 A5 }% b9 e' J( d' q
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
7 g$ p3 m' S7 P7 e8 q* UHawrelak Park.' v# c" T+ t3 @" j
0 k+ j y7 N0 m! Z+ C- n O
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
; ]/ L; E" I. A! w qSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 8 n9 F& L3 p/ m2 z
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

2 ]" t! Z. J% P7 u& f3 V% C8 @! xBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
. |0 I8 |' p' s& w. }: F B) X |to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
B8 D9 ]/ g. C7 |your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your W, m2 Q. c+ W& C
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
2 X1 C, u( A nyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
4 j; W- [5 A' Q6 t5 S2 l* ?of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
# h! g9 Y, }! C# t& g* g- g bComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic . t3 J5 |8 I# p( Q- H% K
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
. R+ M! y1 S8 N" C7 obring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
* h1 ], `1 W" I: E) p9 X( wtwo days of Orientation).2 h8 n) J3 v, m f4 I" x
