请问,家庭医生推荐的那个eye doctor, 跟外面自己开店的optometrist 有啥区别. 当然我知道最大的却别是eye doctor 是heath card 可以cover的, 但是自己去看的optometrist 需要自己保险cover,没有保险就得自己掏腰包了.
- u- l7 R2 Q; Z. M# t但是他们的具体title有啥不一样呀? eye doctor 看的跟optometrist 有啥区别呀?
还没有看过eye doctor, 看过optometrist , 就是用一起测视力. 但是眼睛有病他好像也看不出来啥?

I went to see the optometrist when my eye got infection,and the guy prescriped some antibiotic eye drop, and it is covered by Alberta Health. the prescription does not covered, of course.

简单一句说，眼科医生是看眼病的，视光师是配眼镜的。

/ Y' \8 w- S: T1 P2 o我昨天直接去看了 optometrist, 说是health card cover, 还给我约了10天后follow up, 没要医生的推荐信. 按照上面的网友说一年只cover 一次, 那我的follow up 是不是就不cover了. 有这个说法吗?

眼科医生 (Ophthalmologist) 是看眼病的， 如白内障，青光眼， 不管看多少次都是health card cover。

验光.视力测定师 （optometrist），顾名思义帮你验光，检查视力，如果我没记错的话，health card cover once a year, 或者去看医生前问一下他们。

你的extended health benefit 也应该cover, 一年一次或两年一次，你查一下单位规定。

可能大家对看optometrist 有点误解, 看了你们的解释, 我今天特意又打过去问了一下子. 如果是眼病,medical方便的也可以自己约optometrist  去看, helth card不限制的cover.
1 e) w% r, \1 b& F! @! T如果是验光,检查视力, 英文是 eye exam. 只能自己的保险cover, 看自己的plan 是什么,一般是2年免费1次, 检查完可以开处方眼镜, 根据你自己的glass的配额去买眼镜, 多多少人家不管,只给保险人家能cover的. helth card 一点都不cover.

以前也不知道, 现在总算明白了. 不用等家庭医生3个月后的app. 了. 大家眼镜不舒服,可以立马去看optometrist .

我的用了2天了, 不觉得好用.
再用用, 5ml就40多刀, 还好保险可以cover.自己买真心肉疼呀. 一对眼睛一滴差不多1刀呀.

check with the pharmacy staff they will let you know how long your eyes will be recovered, normally it takes one week to get well for the infection.
