求助：移民过了，但是人在加拿大，如何去换身份呢。

人在加拿大，护照寄回国去等移民，现在移民过了。
护照夜寄回来，但是如何去切换身份呢，切换成pr的？

6 m6 F# r  R; H: h3 P拿上相关手续，移民纸，护照啥的，去美加边境登陆， 我们去的是carway，离爱城应该是最近的。

) B4 x$ Z7 [8 p5 T$ \! h争取在开学前办好，学费能少很多。

不要美签，就是在边防站的美加海关，走一趟，办些手续，很方便的，只是要开很久的车。

' i7 ~3 y" N3 f8 f2个站很近，走几步路而已。

有什么比较好的办法呢？

不进入美国领地，只是到美国海关走一趟程序，很简单的。

& ]* A" r1 {, y% I记住把东西带全，按照要求的带，护照，landing paper，study permit。你再问问，还有没有其他东西，我登陆好多年了， 不知要求变了没有。

5 r5 @. `" b6 r5 }/ f3 P你可以网上问问，有没有近期一起登陆的。 越早越好，学费省不少。

Validating a Confirmation of Permanent Residence at a Land Border

, W& H! @5 {; {( W: jOnce you get your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688) from a Canadian visa office and, if necessary, your permanent resident visa in your passport, you must have these documents validated by an immigration officer at a port of entry. If you did not see an immigration officer when you arrived in Canada and are still in possession of your IMM 5292 or IMM 5688 document, then you must:

Go to the American land border and explain to the officer that you do not want to enter the US; but that you want to return to Canada immediately to validate an immigration document.   
Once at the Canadian border, you must show the officer:

or call Citizenship and immigration canada at : 1-888-242-2100, make an appointment with local canada place office, wait for 6 to 8 weeks, in the mean time, an officer will call you and let you know the exactly date, and you must go on that day. Don't miss the time, otherwise, it is really difficult to make second appointment.

we landed in Canada Place, it says wait for 6-8 weeks, but we only waited 1 week.

在canada palce登录是跟边界一样当场给登录纸吗?有人跟我说要等一两个月才能给邮寄landing paper啊？

时间有点长，记不清了，但很确定就差枫叶卡没有当场到手，当天还去换了新的sin card。记得有个移民纸是跟护照一起寄回来的。

# J* D& F: n2 h# K当时打电话预约的，可能比较lucky，护照到手后俩礼拜内就登陆了。
