Need talking to dealer. In edmonton, I heard SUN TOYOTA gives better price than others. I am interesting in 2012 XLE AWD too. I have not talked to any dealer yet. If you are interesting in same mode. we can go there together to negotiate with them.

$37,978 is invoice price, it is price for dealer getting the vehicle. Transportation fee and tax are not included. We need to negotiate with dealer what the price they can give us. Since Toyota vehicles have very good market. It is very hard to cut price. Usually dealers just give a discont price about $1000 cheaper than MSRP for new model. I would like just add 2% profit above invoice price plus transportation fee and tax. More people to buy together has opportunity to get cheap price.

I went to Mayfield Toyota last Friday and talked to one salesperson (India guy). He requested 4% profit. It is too much. My friend bought 2011 XLE model last year and just paid 2% profit to dealer at SUN Toyota. This guy asked too much. I do not want to see him again. Here is the total price if dealer charges 4% profit,

Invoice price:                               $37,978.00
Federal air conditioning tax:          $100.00
Destination charge (transportation) $1,560.00
Block heater                                  $462.50
Tire levy                                        $20.00
                                          ----------------------------------
                                                   $40,120.50

Dealer Profit:  ($40,120.50 x 4% =) $1,604.82

5% GST: ($40,120.50 + $1,6048.82)x5% = $2,086.27
                                                   -------------------------------
                                       Total =       $43,811.59
