Position: Outreach Worker

. b3 m+ T4 L% B9 R9 u& ?+ k- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information2 Q+ h9 O# N. K" j4 g
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.( d. U5 Z) ?0 k/ h u9 e
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
8 Y% J( U. k, D2 q U& j- provide support to ISP staff

- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities

- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants

- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder& U* t% G o' F: P
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
' X: g) S2 g4 D" z; s( H- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

/ W9 @2 {0 ?0 o9 a$ ^1 [4 x6 e' V- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered P% f( E" x: A e9 H
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available! P8 @4 @' F+ ], h% t8 U, K8 @1 D
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
( Y/ E6 m9 v4 ~! Q. H- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software( }' |, H0 g+ E9 o* H& A
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)& x. e. N+ Q) _: {; ^
- good interpersonal and people skills
