Job Description
; v3 \8 v9 K# j/ j$ V8 a- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
8 v2 M; h6 [9 i& D4 B& S- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
. C) Z4 [+ u! R( W/ m- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
! ^; c# K! f# Z- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

- other duties as assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
. P5 C: c7 p; N+ a) a8 W; Y- j- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
! @7 l) q: @$ J9 {$ J/ k- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
