Duties
/ {0 [4 M1 K( B8 [Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
* N9 o( t# ]! S1 C9 d( t% DGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents" T G5 c! G+ E6 D" N& E
Works with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results) b; ~6 ?; B' A+ N' D
Implements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available B* F! O( F# s) f: Q# L
Provides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface s9 ?6 E! h8 W- g
Installs software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software

B.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development3 h. B1 G. P: U4 H8 f3 b" P
