7 w" f% L, Q' cAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
. Z* U% u/ [1 P! RProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
# E( k: k7 T, h' ?" B6 r* VPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed* T' _( M3 ~+ X7 U. g

Qualifications, j- B; C9 L7 s; S* O9 Y% h g
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred: T& s M: o1 i* D5 | e' N* ]
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred- L' Y& x F3 w3 ?! Q
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
5 F; B4 X f+ dKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
3 ~/ M7 X3 h; R2 w( T/ VFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit; p9 k4 q, Q; ?* a1 n6 p& H2 U* v
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
