Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)7 h& h- ^! Z# r8 u. x
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
9 N2 K T1 V6 @Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
8 B' a2 ?) q' l9 K* oPerforms related tasks as needed
! J' p" ~. ^ AQualifications
0 i( p; c; t9 [" ^7 T" tDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
+ K1 a! F& Q7 U# B* LDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred+ @3 c% `4 o J! {
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
4 @3 G6 L) o# t9 l4 l! N! XKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred8 l: F u1 Z: ~4 m) c/ c3 @
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
