Duties
6 Z: i# F- `6 H* E8 X+ N3 |Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
2 g7 D6 _( C' r( G0 I8 U3 EProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
3 z& ~8 `5 d1 `' E/ ]2 x8 mPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed! v$ E! Y* A- }/ E* P1 s
Performs related tasks as needed$ f$ X, f0 W% C6 M( Y
Qualifications/ B+ P2 [3 q6 D5 g7 Q3 a
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred3 I$ z+ v; w4 L: I/ A
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
# {4 `" D4 @ S8 b% r' iSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
$ G4 K: s$ o4 E+ M- o$ P8 Q1 pKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred+ C: N% o p0 }% P
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
