0 Q% u2 _. F* Z5 B% XAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
4 N( m9 N0 E: l, r9 H5 s8 G3 z4 sProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
2 J4 r; M, t/ u& \: L1 ], |+ HPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed5 I2 W- m( j! e! G( r5 I, n; X" [2 [( K
Performs related tasks as needed. y& [' ~0 l) k! E. O
Qualifications
, v. o5 H& Z- z' K9 IDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
\& l% v2 m4 `5 ^- C" ODemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred& v- ^4 m1 Q( m" f
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset2 }* g s$ I# S
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
: a9 A8 B7 y4 Z* LFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
