  Duties
1 G5 ]. q1 m9 e+ t% X5 s7 d- MAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
6 i1 X/ l" n# M; n6 oProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
, u) Z2 K" @$ APerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
7 D" K- ~  I7 I2 aPerforms related tasks as needed
* y, u. o4 v" O7 m3 L* \Qualifications
, e$ n6 P/ O9 d% O2 }- }) q  A0 hDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
7 U( Q2 N6 @. j" a. \. gDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
" d1 {( C; q$ Z/ i  xSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
Ability to adapt in a high technology research environment
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
