Primary purpose: The Social Worker works in partnership with settlement workers or / A0 V, T+ W L9 o
community cultural brokers from New Canadian Health Network partner organizations to

2 ~% G' R! u3 I/ s; k* @' v3 \# S4 X Nature of Work: The Social Worker will report to the manager of mental health services.
! @% T" }- W6 q, @! P1 o uThe position builds working relationships with New Canadian Health Network partners’ staff,
/ q8 w8 u0 O- m5 Y/ Y5 z4 D6 cnewcomers accessing these services and other institutions and service providers. The Social . R% W1 t' ]# r
Worker will assist in case planning, conferencing and providing support and advocacy as
. \/ x& m, o0 u3 zneeded. As required, the Social Worker will assist in accessing community supports for

Work in partnership with settlement workers or cultural brokers to provide supplemental

Qualification
4 i- h9 v$ C/ R
6 P# V1 z, V# }0 x: B Relevant undergraduate degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of education and 2 O9 y- t2 t* i- `0 |' I" i
experience in Social Work or related human service fields. 4 u8 K: G X0 f/ b
Extensive knowledge of community resources, including in depth understanding of family
/ \6 V- V5 c; h% O# h% t- vsupport needs / e" C. r$ |: ]# V9 d6 K" C# l
Experience/facility with MS Office computer applications ) o" {: j A7 I0 Q8 h
Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in other languages
