Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant
- {* P+ I. N( F& o+ x% sLocation:        Edmonton

) N% p4 w' ~. ^; v: S/ U* W! h6 m, P( e* t
Major Responsibilities:
0 h  J) }2 k% U8 X0 @•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
, g3 M- r( M/ W$ M•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
. f7 T' K0 F+ `: U1 \•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
7 E% y3 v$ W2 R0 [1 d* M6 M- V) c•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
- D( x& q4 d, Q! ~•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
& i' P* r+ _2 k•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
- b: Q8 ^/ Y5 n) o$ `# ^•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.' o! B5 I. [. b9 M! Z# w
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
) N: c$ p, |. I•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
* g& a6 a5 h6 F/ o( a5 r- P•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
# h" ]: ?* W4 a0 y•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
' B! g7 }8 {  x3 [$ y•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes./ q& T( k' j3 d" c6 y
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required., T5 C( z" q- o* z5 [
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.2 ^$ Z! ^5 e6 O$ h& w2 t. b$ r3 f

Qualifications:
# \2 X% c3 H7 v•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
8 o: j, i5 l. q0 _3 f6 _: `•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. # \) Y9 K2 E/ E6 T5 H" w5 a
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. # _, K( ]. ?( q9 \4 l
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. + {- ^/ n/ g0 R: [3 ?( f/ z
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
