Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: ; Z3 _4 z! \* L
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.& b: x# t! F. D/ v' G$ v
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.) }$ V, e8 \, R3 a# F5 t
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 8 ^$ Z0 F" O8 }7 o
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
# F. Z% c: M2 h, i* a• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
) O+ |+ t( F1 ?* P/ ?• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.6 k$ B! O' X+ x4 c) s
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
( O# J# i' p7 z U3 V7 A0 L• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.3 J! |% f) j) ?
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.6 i* F+ e4 r, w3 u
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.# \8 E, p+ i! z
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
7 ^9 A3 o3 |5 g- |• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
$ @# y- @4 i$ ~, u, W' f• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:. q* ]( i: y; ?5 q1 f& m# e
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. . H1 W* i' u# }) v$ K
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
4 C0 K# a8 q: u( K, X7 C• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ; n! E% c- F$ H; l7 [6 }
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ( E: y; D& Z. d N
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential( p1 h; z' F% @% K3 F
• Not scared of heights
% N8 p. e- Q, k• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other5 u% x7 Z% X* q. w3 w
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 7 |! q" f0 f/ P
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
