Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
: R* s. \: U" D! D0 O• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.1 P* u5 m+ o" p5 J3 b( E6 W* d
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.- C5 d! X. A P$ u- g, y& I+ h4 Y
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
5 d2 y) \( `2 C) R• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.6 O/ V7 k5 ]# W& Q( r% W& J+ i: ?
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.% J1 e6 ]% R' A/ {+ Q! ]
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
- r6 t% _1 T3 o! H• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.' L2 u; C8 i9 Q9 C) p4 s/ [
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.. N4 _; N6 o, g$ x: q
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.% h- H+ c" E: c+ \. C/ c; D4 B* m& s
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
* [: [/ `8 f3 E• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.- r' v( ^4 U& x8 F" t6 v
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.0 L1 d; [5 }5 s
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

~4 J5 J7 Y( P2 d! n• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. , `3 `- @4 A+ X- |' a( W
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
9 M: Y$ _7 V+ ^3 U+ b• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. * Z7 v6 h' K0 R" j# B
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 6 M( i! _. ~% M' w& @/ ~) c
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

! r5 [ B6 w. |• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other

• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
