Non-destructive testers and inspectors perform some or all of the following duties:& J% E9 M% Y( \
Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
) X7 r: w& X3 Y5 j e$ m- GConduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current and other non-destructive testing methods
) M. F2 C7 g$ e& REstablish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
9 I9 L; D4 i9 [% KInterpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators3 K& s* W# Q/ [1 U5 b) X0 o5 K
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results' a7 J. x7 w$ r- R( x# Z8 C

Employment requirements

Completion of secondary school is required.
* w) X# u0 i2 i: S4 R5 L' oCompletion of two years of an approved post-secondary science or engineering program may be required.
2 G8 ~5 y9 P( G. `9 ]$ u! a- q4 H$ aAdditional classroom and on-the-job training is required for certification in non-destructive testing.& D2 G7 r2 Q, `+ K" t. K4 y
Non-destructive testing certification by Natural Resources Canada is available in three levels and is usually required by employers.! w9 |, z9 d( l% v0 q8 ?
Industrial radiographers using a radioactive isotope must pass an examination to be recognized as a certified exposure device operator by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.* i! z" J/ m9 o6 p" G2 _3 L
Welding inspector certification by the Canadian Welding Bureau is available in three levels and may be required by employers.2 N& h* \8 x. Y8 x O6 Q" C+ j8 s
Boiler and pressure vessel, process pipeline and above-ground storage tank inspector certification is available from the American Petroleum Institute.

你好!我是一位在国内从事探伤工作已15个年头的无损检测技师,近期国内有招聘探伤技术人员赋加拿大工作的消息,我可能作为第一批人员赋CANADA,现在还没签订合同!所以现在特别想知道CANADA的探伤工作情况及待遇.* j9 W6 O3 l' a8 R7 \/ l& D7 { X
有必要在国内拿个国际(欧洲)探伤资格证吗?是不是一定要在加拿大本国取证才有效吗?还有就是中国劳动保障部颁发的技师职业资格证,在CANADA能承认吗?谢谢有空的话回一个哦.
