Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

3 o( a2 {; u7 v$ P2 [Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know. 0 y6 w7 D: `! Y" k7 E

Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)! J9 V% x7 @) B5 ~ }% V# s A

Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...* t3 I2 n. P) f. e9 v; G

Otherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)8 z2 F3 [. x( C& s8 \8 j/ ^
3 r) M2 t0 L; O. [# ^Like I said, I graduated from high school a few years ago, maybe rankings have changed. But when I was in high school, this is what the schools I previously named above were well-known for. Hope this helped! |
