  SU PRINT CENTRE

3 s5 s: V0 F8 ?) n  6-8 Week Term, August - mid September 20077 a0 `- }" P0 _) `

/ t/ V2 H# Q$ w" V* W, }JOB SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager-
. O# m6 @' s: z9 k6 u  e" W4 GSU Print Centre and Operations Manager-Production & Technical  ; h6 m3 w5 g$ H6 z* G" ?
Support, these positions are responsible for assisting in all aspects  
/ L* [4 t  x$ e8 Y) sof Course Pack production.# }+ W0 x3 J0 [3 A. X+ @! |
$ g" L+ l0 r% O5 _6 g. m
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
, m1 s: \5 x# n) s- g2 J$ X) n1) To assist in the creation of course packs, including the scanning  + C5 K  G" M7 K
of paper files, editing of digital files, proofing and printing.
" F  T+ `) d! C/ Q
+ m) R$ i$ d2 V' ^- R2) To develop a good working knowledge of print equipment, including  
' s8 X! f. H& @) gprint queue, paper loading, toner and technical troubleshooting.
3 U+ {, f3 Z% c! N. r6 V5 u1 ~1 t7 C: K- q6 {: i6 l0 y
3) To assist with all aspects of bindery, packing and shipping of  
) c3 h6 d8 j* A0 g2 w- u; A' C1 gcourse packs. This includes following operational procedures and  
* _" [" N" b$ p6 {  L! f& E; A$ M  {keeping appropriate and accurate records.8 T/ p2 b0 `' z

7 }5 M* a- p# j5 r% w2 i4) To communicate stock needs and printing and bindery equipment  
' E) _. \9 I) J" ?( W' {failures to the Operations Manager.
- P* j. |5 A9 Y) F2 A7 L/ n# b+ B( d0 G; P
5) To develop a working knowledge of Access Copyright requirements,  5 c! d3 k: C! P9 R- c, ?
and adhere to regulations as appropriate.

6) To contribute positively to a cooperative working environment.

4 Q  n. H7 Q+ w4 {/ a: U$ ~; KQUALIFICATIONS:
( ]9 u/ K  X& F, O+ d$ p- a1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.' |9 M0 f" k3 {
2) Attention to details. Excellent organizational and communication  
+ d" E3 Q7 b" Q( b& bskills.
# b' Y& w" z& l1 W, y& G8 @  |6 F) [/ f
3) A good working knowledge of Windows would be helpful.
" t8 N; H) z: ]* I7 `3 N7 \% p; [% _$ q% e- t$ e8 |
4) An aptitude for technical problem determination and resolution.$ u7 n9 z2 C6 ?8 r3 v. ]" |. t. p! l

& @3 _9 n) o3 |5) Ability to work in high stress environment.
) @1 h. F/ X1 r  s( t
8 W) e2 j* a' F8 u# F% _6) Experience in print industry an asset but not necessary.

Wage: $9.18/hour
