; ]. @6 I) p8 u9 ]# BA prominent cancer researcher at the University of Alberta, and his wife, are facing a number of charges related to the alleged sexual assault, and confinement, of a teenaged girl.

Wang is facing charges of sexual contact with a minor, and sexual assault – for reported incidents dating back to between Nov. 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010.

+ y T) H; C* ~" ?4 l8 a! ZChen is facing a charge of unlawful confinement of a child for alleged offences from May 31, 2010 to Jan. 29, 2013.

: O3 S \ Y1 i" AThe University of Alberta issued a statement Friday, and confirmed the couple are both employed by the U of A, but are on leave.
