屯里有做这个public health inspector工作的吗？

想请教一下这个职业就业和收入情况，侧面了解了一些，想直接跟正在做这行的人再详细了解一下，多谢

就业：certify 以后三到五年甚至十年不可能在大城市工作。因为那些职位都被本地人占满了，而且他们很年轻化。除非你想作temporary or causal.其实小地方不一定不好。只是如果家里有人一定要在大城市才能找得到工作的话，你们要分居两地了。待遇：分三级，每一级分九个steps。一级是初级。从$39.42到$52.36。属于HSAA，基本上每三年所有人普遍上涨一次工资，不是级别上涨，而是普调因为Union bargain.养老保险是LAPP，只有政府部门才有的，其他的保险也是一般的公司不能比的。

进一步说明一下，$39.42 到53.36是一级从step1到step9每小时的工资。有些地方有额外的living allowance，像Fort Mac.

Bachelor 就可以。Concordia 有一个一年的after degree program。而后要参加 national board certification exam. 经济形势好与不好，都有人开饭馆，游泳池，养老院，幼儿园，都有人租房子，有人被狗咬，被猫抓，有人得传染病，那么就有这个饭碗。

要求是科学相关的degree。十二个月课堂，三个月实习。

如果你们真的想学这个专业，一定要慎重。不是像你们想得那样简单。这个专业对于口语和写作的要求是很高的，远远高于其他医学专业。你接起电话就要流利地应答，该写Letter和Order的时候，你要先写个八九不离十，否则怎么给你的Supervisor 看。再有，三次考试不过，要重新实习，包括口语的应变考试。我听说有人三次没过，放弃了。现在的就业行势不是很好，一个一年的Temporary 职位而且是Rural，要几十个人竞争。试问如果背景都差不多，一个第二语言的人怎么和本地人去争？工作到Step 7 or 8，年薪会达六位数，这样的工作怎么会轻而一举地给一个移民？不是我打击你们，现在想学这个，有点晚了。有人毕业了，也好不容易地Certified，就是找不到工作。真事！

您能具体描述下在学专业时对口语和写作具体难度高在什么地方吗?还有说的这种就业形势是指得在小地方这这么差，海市指的大城市? 因为我贴的那个链接里，网友叫节节草的说她认识几个中国任毕业都找到工作了。

别想那么多了，15个月的课程就学吧！各人运气不同水平也各不相同，说不定你就能轻松找到工作呢！如果找不到，再改学点别的只当多学点英语啦！

There are five Chinese PHIs working for Alberta Health Services and I'm one of them. All of us got our foot in before 2011. I haven't heard any other ones working in the same field ever since. However, I know for sure that at least two have registered and graudated from the program since 2011.  As the time when we graudated, a general audit report came out stating that the inspection rates in Alberta hadn't been in compliance with the national standards. This was why more positions were added back then in both urban and rural settings. But this is not the case for the current situation. This was why i said earlier that you need to make a decision with some precautions.
' [- f# S- [* F2 N/ Y7 iRegarding oral English and writing, when you are studing in the program, nothing is difficult just some projects, papers and presentations. Four years stuff is crammed into 1 year. That's all. However, after you start working in the field, you receive many phone calls each day. You cannot predict what the phone call is about when it's ringing; it could be something related to a food establishment, a rental house, a swiming pool, a river or lake, a hair salon, a tattoo parlor, a drinking water system, a dog bite, a communical dissease, etc. You have to answer it without a pause based on your field experience and your undertanding of the regulations. After each inspection is done, you need to speak with the particular operator about the violations and correction methods. All of this happens on a daily basis. For writing, after each inspection is done, you need to type, print and hand out the inspection report to the operator on site. Sometimes, in order to get some compliance, you need to write a letter even an Executive Officer's order(legal document). This happens from time to time. I'm sure that all the above activities may not happen in other occupations.
Another thing I do want to point it out to you. The prospect of the employment is important; however, you need to ask yourself if you are really interested in doing it. I can tell you the nature of this job is very stressful. People could yell and swear at you at any time because you ask them to spend money, time, engery and personal attention to correct things, there is no doubt no one likes that. They could complain about you to your supervisor, local MLA, the Minister of Alberta Health. You should ask yourself, can you live with that?

只要certified 的人，是可以在加拿大任何省任何城市找到工作的，你说的这个人是不是仅仅局限于阿尔伯塔省啦！这个已经毕业了，而且有Certified 人可以到萨斯卡通市，里贾纳市，温莎市，温尼泊(Winnipeg)，BC省的Kelowna，乔治王子市等城市找工作的！那些城市里的饭店，酒吧，旅店，游泳馆，养老院，幼儿园，发廊等公共场所也很多的。租房业也很兴旺的。那些城市里的狗，猫等宠物也很多的。

! l# x" t+ ?0 C5 B1 \你的这个哥们的两个中国女同学可都找到公共健康监督员的工作了。还有你这个哥们的老婆的好朋友后来也学习这个专业，也找到工作了。公共健康监督员是加拿大的官员系类的职业。重型机械工作还是技术工人系列的职业。工资待遇也不是一个层次的。你的这个哥们目前会后悔吧！

8 _/ w" l) v. c4 h# G; [0 M% H, ]6 }就因为待遇好，工作稳定，是加拿大官员系类的职业，所以有从多伦多大学毕业的学生也来学习公共健康监督员的。就因为这个工作很适合女移民来照顾家庭，可以自己调节自己的工作强度和工作时间，所以有放弃Suncor那样世界有名的石油公司的工作，而来学习公共健康监督员的。还有英国硕士毕业生来学习这个专业的。好工作是很多人都向往的！

# o, s! s+ L9 Q. G. G2 [冲你打这么多字，我就十分感激。说的很详细，回头我慎重的考虑。毕竟我也没有认定就要读这个专业。只是另外几个准备申请的专业都比较熟悉，也有很多人在做。唯独这一个，听节节草提起。感觉待遇很好，不想错过任何好的机会。另外你最后说到这个职业的前景，那你觉得未来两三年会有什么变化吗？变好还是变坏？
