Immigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents.

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. # t. N& D a! e" g+ t0 f9 X5 o

“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board.

The program was announced by a group called Changing Together… A Centre for Immigrant Women.
