I did hire a nanny. After 2 year old, I sent to YMCA. ( Z2 q+ d& D6 h( v2 {: }
I witnessed a chinese dayhome. The care giver is a young and very diligent mom. she had 6 kids. I saw she non-stopping moved around to take care of these 6 kids. The pure workload is extreme higher than working in a busy resterant (but remember she has to work for straight 10 hours instead of 8 hour). She prepare the lunch as dumplings the night before, so as to save some time when cooking lunch for kids. Still the 6 kids have no outside activities. and she was so busy in comforting cries, solving fights (kids fight every 2 minutes for toys or some minor reasons), wiping noses and asses. She had no time to do any teaching. I'd say, she is a perfect a care giver. It is just 6-kid is mission impossible for one person workload. In YMCA, that is 2.5 person for 12 kids, and the lunch is bring in by caters. There are swim pool, music lession and gym, so that the teachers can have 1 hour break in lunch hour.+ ]: D* |8 G: \
