On September 25, 2011 the John Janzen Nature Centre will launch the Natural Treasure Program, an exciting new initiative from the Robert Bateman Get to Know Program. x7 ?+ _$ c( p- k5 n
$ G) {% U) W0 W" }# E6 XNatural Treasure uses technology to provide youth with a unique outdoor experience. Participants follow a map or GPS device to complete an outdoor scavenger hunt by finding clues hidden around the Nature Centre.. l0 w- e0 f8 a* b, o, ^
- j e% M$ Z' r: c% a/ P; jNext, participants head online for some fun challenges, games, and stories, all of which relate to their experience outdoors. The program is geared towards helping youth get to know Edmonton’s wildlife.
