the old under layer can be removed or you can leave it in depanding on its condition. if you want to remove it, it's a lot of physical labour work.+ Z5 F8 c' a0 y2 S: h+ W& `

installing the new carpet is very easy, but again it's a lot of physical labour. carpets are a lot heavier than most people think. plus, you'll need to do your own measurements, cutting, transportation of new/old material, etc.
