1, it is possible to grow mould underneath the new top layer if you don't remove the old top layer. t& E. W9 |4 u4 n3 V

3, it's very hard to anchor it down with the baseboards, etc; x, \- T+ x! E! x: Z+ u6 B, r
& w+ k& t, t. G+ B+ x% B! xthe old under layer can be removed or you can leave it in depanding on its condition. if you want to remove it, it's a lot of physical labour work.

) N4 }( {5 y/ U) U3 xinstalling the new carpet is very easy, but again it's a lot of physical labour. carpets are a lot heavier than most people think. plus, you'll need to do your own measurements, cutting, transportation of new/old material, etc.

end of roll usually have good deals on material and labour to install carpets. give them a call to see if they can swing you a deal. depand on the size of your room and the grade of the carpet you're looking for, I'm guessing you can get away with less than $750 all in.
