8 K0 l: d5 t8 G3 c4 u" V' e* V Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: B# y, I. r% w' _. a( D5 Q" I0 { Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
, K; q3 a9 ?5 ?) r* E Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
. a* |' A+ ?# X; e Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
. [: u. l( }/ `  ^- H. f  U( l Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
  ?# h: l+ d+ n7 L9 W. { Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

/ ^4 t8 d2 s; oQualifications:

. u$ O* @4 F# W: x Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
. `3 ]9 P. t1 { Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
- F" V) \5 X# {8 |" V, ^ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
" V( c, R$ ^4 x% O6 ~4 O; C Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

# E2 H, b1 O. |6 h; I+ t8 oPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
