Key Responsibilities & Duties:$ w9 H, m# A& B& m& R
% D: i( P. a$ ?& h7 K Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.4 Q& J2 I$ B; o+ h8 n& n
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site., J& f+ {" [7 ^! ^* A$ @# n
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) U( N% d( J5 `* d$ q! L& ?
 Completing required paperwork.9 a7 r* `" z4 h; U0 M
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.9 d" [1 U0 H: w# |- a8 ~( W* @
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
( j# p" D& c, K6 d# D2 @! A Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. * ^+ E4 p* n1 k+ L: j" h4 |+ ]
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 t6 L- j; O6 h Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.% j$ D. o' R+ J# q2 D
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:0 Q: R: H# ?3 A. e4 J
& _+ @, Q" x4 e; [0 @3 C Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.; ?" f! _3 y6 v9 U: n- Y- T
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.* q* Z$ M& I& V6 o% \
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
% l) u- P! l! g% a' s3 u Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! O3 k8 m" C! ], P: a Knowledge of community resources.
$ d3 a4 j5 G: E; U' ~0 K, v- B Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
; `, r; q, T: D% F7 m1 v0 r) I Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. : w4 Q/ B& _: x

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
