You need also convince yourself that there must be jobs out there.

0 Z9 E8 n* l# d2 N- S' pI found a job in construction management in October 2008 in Edmonton, when construction business was in recession. The job position was an estimator at a Fortune-500 company. And it started with a very unique way - I took a few of my resumes and, with my my safety boots/hat on, went to some job sites on a saturday morning, after some cold calls to some potential employers. By chance, at one site trailer of this companry, I met a few managers from the head office while they were having a meeting because I just walked in. Two weeks after, I started working on an important role at the head office with a six digits compensation. Please note that, by experience I know executive managers sometimes do meetings on site on saturdays in construction business and their words count, and that once you show your values/expertise and readiness for the job, you will have a chance.

Sorry for talking so much about myself but the only purpose of this is just to encourage the ones who are looking for a job here.

' _1 W6 p1 T; x8 aThanks for your encourage, I will try to convine myself that there must be jobs for me.~~ my situation is kinda different from you, I am a on a post-graduation work permit, i only had a non-technical,non-professional Bsc. degree,with Zero experience.
and I had to find a management or technical position to meet permanent residency requirement, almost every freaking job on the internet ask for at least of 1 year relevant experience, and asking chicken and egg question.

I need at least 10 more years to have a 6 figure salary like yours.  ~.~

Sweety, I have the similiar degree as urs.
However, there r two strateges for ppl like us.
First, find an entry level jobs in ur field, even could be a sale job
( C, _! r5 \4 \0 ?Second, try to get some easy certificate in ur field, which has relevant applied skills in job market.

5 H0 X! u7 w- m6 L. X  {+ \-Be prepared. If someone is giving you a call or or a friend is coming to you at this very moment to tell you that you will be having a talk right now with a manager who is urgently looking for someone to work on one of his projects starting Monday, are you ready to go?

-When you are looking for a job, show your excellence or all your shiny part to your friends, your neighbours, your doctor, your banker, everyone, meanwhile tell them seriously that you are looking for a job as a .... (Once I was hiring a couple people for the company I used to work with, and I did have friends who were looking for jobs but it ended up with that I did not hire my friends because simply THEY WERE NOT READY for the competition. Or simply, it seemed to me that they were not ready for the job and I did not have the confidence to take the risk.)
