, ~6 u- P( e- q4 t/ z6 {0 b* l# _JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
- Z. J4 `0 d$ f8 jprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

. D9 I/ }2 R' G- w; ZDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
" m8 F8 Y1 d- ^* ^  n1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
9 ^; R! A! {' p& ^5 k) }beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
5 z6 z. F+ e# o6 }" dbar and debit floats.
* h# B4 K% d; @: R( i& ]
7 @: e& j, z. F( U1 c3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
1 r- z# s  Q' rattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
% ~* T/ _6 ~" w1 }* Hseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
" w0 s& R6 E8 }6 c7 L  mstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
& q+ _! j6 p! H9 Jmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
. n, a, H, o$ S9 l8 E! |high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
% t6 g' R3 y: j, l% P% k To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
* E5 B/ M2 D/ n4 P) QAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

- T  Z6 D" ?1 A8 v1 ]( R5 A; {QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
& O" g  N8 s/ v$ ^* b1 Q' i0 D5 qaccordance with Students' Union policy.
+ A5 _+ z2 w! [5 {; _  L6 v# z
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.

0 ^2 Z$ r7 A. }3 |" KWage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
