22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
& T# a7 N8 M3 rOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
4 N9 P) A8 [9 t  A# |- Ucleanliness and order in the bar.

* [5 \; n0 B/ a8 C  F/ c- @DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
9 c4 W! [' N0 T* F* @' t1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.
& u. _# X! X* R* w9 |" }
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
$ C" W& S9 \% O9 n7 T5 Z% Sbar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
7 e5 ^- f) r$ Deach shift, and upon closing.
! s$ I5 [8 L7 B6 _$ @% N9 T& D
8 U3 B. }% u5 D4 ^4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
* a) P1 |3 }7 e  U* H4 hattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

3 e7 c; i5 w' {9 L0 v5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
+ Z2 d2 \  y& i6 {products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
8 W5 O" T8 B- p4 p8 ~2 b& ]monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
& g2 d  K$ d& y: i7 T, |Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: V/ L& V7 X, [% _. j3 u4 b% t7 eSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

7 c" _8 h  j$ z" o+ }1 `QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
8 o4 ]0 s+ ^8 Q8 _accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

; ~' v3 T' V6 X8 }  S) K7 X/ }- i5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
' Y0 J: [& j: S9 A( [3 ^! LUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
