Average house prices have hit half a million dollars in southwest Edmonton and almost $400,000 across the Capital region.

6 L% }) Z" T" [& N, k" O( P“It is clear that housing prices have not yet peaked,” Carolyn Pratt, president of th Edmonton Real Estate Board said Wednesday, releasing the March sales figures from the Mutiple Listing Service.

Edmonton-area prices averaged $398,476 for single-family homes and $325,339 for all housing forms.

+ Y! v. y1 _6 D2 v1 |; M) MIn only the first three months of this year, average home prices have climbed 12.4 per cent, so Pratt has abandoned her earlier forecast of a 15 per cent increase for the full year.
