1984: Triple Five Corporation, developer of West Edmonton Mall, buys property from Woodward's and spends $25 million on renovations.

) c; i6 x3 f. v# W+ y2000: New owner Dundee Developments spends $30 million on facelift. Safeway moves to the mall's south end, and Zellers enlarges its store. Renovation separates the anchors in an effort to draw traffic past a new ice rink and food court. Slogan "New Cool" used to attract shoppers.
