留学生可以为孩子申请Alberta child health benefit吗？

如果真的是这样，那我可能真的被忽悠瘸了……去年我儿子在Grey Nuns出生的时候，“牛奶金”就被拒了,打电话理论不成，最后把PR卡传真给他才批下来……可怜我当年Jason Lang的奖学金被拒了三次，去找他们，说我是留学生，不算Alberta Resident, 政府和大学也太坑人啦！

楼主申请的是低收入家庭的福利 不是牛奶金 所以答案不一

•you or your spouse or common-law partner must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a protected person, or a temporary resident who has lived in Canada for the previous 18 months, and who has a valid permit in the 19th month.

4 G6 w  ?2 M' o, f& a满足以上全部条件，最后一条是：你或者你的配偶或者同居者必须是公民或者永久居民， 或者受保护者或者在爱省居住时间超过18个月或者你的居住许可到达19个月。看看自己的签证，上面的时间。19个月以上是可以的。

楼主申请的是健康福利，直接在学校保险里面里面加入就可以了，孩子就可以享受和你一样的医疗保险。和我们民间说的牛奶金是不同的，牛奶金是CCTB=Canada Child Tax Benefit，是报税者所得的福利。自己报税，人家寄表格给你填，然后就得到的。

: G0 s+ L2 l, g$ j1 `/ C谢谢您提供的链接和详尽的答复。看来答案不统一的原因就是大家没有看清楚我的题目：留学生能申请alberta child health benefit (AHCB). 而不是大家俗称的牛奶金（CCTB canada child tax benefit）。我知道牛奶金是公民或者PR才能享受的。而这个AHCB不知道留学生及其小孩能否享受？

•you must be a resident of Canada; and (我假定你住在加拿大)

(你肯定是temporary resident， 但是我没法确定你前18个月是不是住在加拿大，第19个月还有没有合法身份)

Families qualify if they live in Alberta

It does not matter what your immigrant or citizenship status is if your children were born in Canada they are eligible for the program. Dependent children of refugees who are not receiving health benefits from any other program are also eligible for this program.

肯定可以，我朋友跟你情况一样，孩子在国内出生，现在在领 benefit。但他要求孩子必须在这连续住满18个月。
