申请公民的时候能同时改名字么

# d/ b& A+ u: D应该是不一样的. 入籍申请时有一个选项, 填一下就可以了. 公民卡发下来就是新名字. 拿着公民卡, 就可以申请加拿大护照和该其他证件上的名字了.
8 i- G, T% @& {4 }6 O3 f麻烦的是每该一个证件,都要求官方该名证明.我们没有就必须解释,不过最后所有证件也都该完了.

有一个选项，但需同时提供legal name change certificate, 我记得是这样

Thank you all for answering my confusion. Really really appreciate.

: M( T0 K& G. n% CNow I think I get it clear: To change name before applying citizenship, we need to go through Registry (pay 250CAN, waiting for 6-8 )first, and submit the Name Changing Certificate to CIC for citizenship. (Passport and PR card can not be changed. )

Some may have different experience with whether Name Changing Certificate is needed for citizenship. I guess that may depend on the processing officer at CIC. One may be generous or careless, so it also works without that certificate.
