The College's Objects as follows under The Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009:

10. To determine whether a trade should have compulsory certification status.

, X, M3 r Y- ?11. To receive and investigate complaints against members of the College and to deal with issues of discipline, misconduct, incompetency and incapacity.

15. To conduct research in relation to trades.
