What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?+ H% \3 G# d R
Effective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:7 G6 N |9 S. H
1) Any bodily injury or death;
4 V! ~0 E4 q% d u2) A Hit-and-Run;
4 I2 e5 t- A& X6 s( E* Z3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;
7 r( \ l8 N; n" }3 e8 I4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
+ k. E5 N9 Y! Y6 ]* a0 B4 {5) An out-of-province vehicle.

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters.
