今天做了一件好事，

事情是这样的，早晨出去锻炼身体回来的时候，看见一辆车开得很慢，到我跟前后停下，看见是一位80左右的老太太，问我到xxx医院怎么走。我一听就知道老太太迷路了。然后我问她是否愿意跟我到我家我可以把地址找到，然后带她去。她说她自己找，我说那你要调转头，这里没有医院，然后就走开了。

可当我回到家门口，看见老太太的车也开进来了。我们相视一笑，我问她是否愿意告诉我具体名字我查到后告诉她，她同意后我就回家去查。

等我查到后，发现离我家不是太远，我就出去告诉老太太是否愿意我在前面开车，她在后面跟着我，我把她送回去。她同意了。

我一路9个左拐才到她要去的地方，估计老太太是一路右拐遇到的我。

把她送到后，顺便和老太太随便聊了两句，其中问到她是否参加选举的事，出乎我的意料，她说每次选举都有车来接她他们去，我问你去吗，她说去。

我想连80多岁的老人都去参加选举，更何况你我，不是也应该去吗？

记得那年在我们办的宣传中英双语教育的Gala时, 马不但作为教育部长讲话支持，而且还鼓励自己的小女儿参加演出，两口子像其他的普通家长一样，为了孩子的排练和演出，又接又送。作为家长，他在努力培养孩子的多元文化情感，其中包括学习自己作为第二代移民没有机会学习的中文和中国文化。ECBEA现在很多积极参与的家长都是属于这种情况。虽然自己不会中文，不认中国字，但他们为了下一代，在做着自己的努力！

From Elan MacDonald Gary Mar Campaign  Manager

Alberta needs a leader that can bring north, south, rural and urban together into a positive party – ready for the future. This happens by listening to Albertans before decisions are made, and knowing what matters most to all of us.

Gary Mar gets it and that’s why I’m voting for him on October 1st.

In a few words, Gary has:

Experience – Gary has served as MLA and Minister in Alberta, and served the interests of Alberta’s interest in Ottawa and Washington and around the globe.

Passion – Gary is leading a campaign for positive change.  He knows that he doesn’t have all the solutions by himself. He will listen to the ideas of everyday people; and

Vision – Gary intends to lead our party and province into the future with innovative and forward thinking policies – exactly what Alberta needs now in a leader.

Many say that Gary Mar is the front runner in this campaign.  That is risky thinking.  We must all take personal action to elect Gary.  The number of people that have voted in previous leadership campaigns grew substantially between the first and second ballots.
