1. It's cool.
+ A+ f5 B- }1 \  b; A" @0 f" u% h2 o- h- o8 S
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
6 B/ X2 k6 @' j/ E- U    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. ' c, ~+ N$ c; x$ h; O
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)5 S% T, t/ p7 v0 ~* l+ L% S
, }$ U/ \5 X  b4 B+ }) R
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。 A8 v0 f. I# {9 z5 `
She (He) was cool in the past.
1 e# ~( S6 t. z7 J- V: K    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
3 s  T$ n; x( a' [4 \/ u& ~3 _    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
: P; [- q5 ^6 T- [; w
; [) P# J* }( @但是如果说:Are you cool?
# ]  |2 w% W" g    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
+ ~* z# d( B/ x2 ?( r    emotional.
) i6 \- L. g/ S, e. T3 ^  p; P    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」)
; A1 ~' @; L- e " b* j. K6 r3 K7 E' \
2. Are you trippin'?
' r: g7 T- Q' [# ~( e) ^' W, [+ ]% D
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
) D4 @* f- J" O1 `1 w9 H9 I) G$ d    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
+ ?5 ^+ s' F" l$ K9 W+ x9 L    She (he) is trippin'.
7 E3 K0 w8 H4 I, nMr. A must be trippin'.
% J! A+ H" U3 I' k9 N
2 N0 V' @  I! t* H- Q! ~3. He is a nerd- @8 n0 [" k: o% W

(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
' \% }( ]" |/ I5 n    He used to be a nerd in high school * p0 l/ D& N' g' e( a( }" r# K
% B8 z5 S! E2 R6 L9 j, x( e
4. Yo baby: D3 k  Y) X% |$ @+ V3 t

" M( u9 s. p" aYo baby 是许多年轻的黑人男子对女子的招呼语,也有人用“Yo baby, yo baby 8 h2 B3 l6 M- J) N6 I0 m3 }) W  ]
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: ' E0 r; J" b) l
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
# s0 O( u, x, z: ]! i  Q# O: d3 OMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. + z8 }6 R  x- O0 B' r
3 i% ?& a" _5 z  |( Z- W% N- E    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)   w0 g* j0 c, X9 N' F8 u
( D. d. E5 V7 s- _1 F
5. She is a ho4 G  Z" @( C# C+ Y" W
: c/ s7 I+ l  c7 _/ W! @: W' h
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
" ^0 J* ^$ c1 l5 U. L    They are (were) hos.
' Q. H) A7 K5 ?    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
& K* ~; ^' f$ a( K* k$ _" W& F$ O1 w/ v: n- r5 M+ \
6. Catch you later!
7 H( v; J$ S# @' g2 W8 R. ~3 ~* [3 A$ `: c
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
6 ^2 `8 R2 v, p2 w3 A' c有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. # y& R1 M' c2 ?& x: h( `
