1. It's cool.# r. l5 w, b) X7 k! M7 V' d% U8 P

" _% i$ w$ K/ _$ S3 u" fcool (可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
+ T" d, T6 T' r. y6 q# b% R    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. 8 T. {) w. B$ ]7 |+ D4 k5 }
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
# X6 q) c" C  G2 O6 X( `) {$ z" ?$ @- {2 L3 L. p0 b
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。 Y0 Z0 g+ D$ F: H7 F
    She (He) was cool in the past.
4 |) Z! ?1 |0 z# l9 x3 {( b5 J& q    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) 4 ~, Z- e6 \+ z) ]; u7 o9 g+ A
    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
, G6 v) G# D0 I3 U5 r1 C% l
) B7 u' {# g) y+ L$ @" s' Z但是如果说:Are you cool?
' d# }" r5 G' W. b$ B# A8 R    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
7 N4 \- h# d! d. T    emotional.
6 A3 V. L6 Y" q; E& x/ M+ @+ z8 v6 e3 x    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」)
( F; X& V( `, U ) S5 E0 o2 h' k9 T
2. Are you trippin'?7 \( c" E. V$ V8 h) b4 W
& U( e7 }3 ]0 z3 S. X! {
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
" k& m4 z7 l: L/ z/ V9 Z) U    They are trippin'. (= tripping) 5 [8 L- h# u  R7 L$ {
    She (he) is trippin'. , R$ v; D5 c: E2 r  k
Mr. A must be trippin'. & ~6 f, X* a6 H! Y! g
9 e: O" F5 t4 m0 G2 v4 D- a; a . }. d% \6 Y' s' h( Y
3. He is a nerd. H5 Z* |* }2 n9 a

8 k( P  e: f  N/ A2 [. (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) V& a/ X. `& T9 r
    He used to be a nerd in high school
3 s, t0 {* a9 `8 a3 d- G* T
3 W( T( V( R. w' e& Z4. Yo baby
7 `2 Q1 ?: A  u, A5 m0 u) f
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: 2 z0 X3 ^, M" b8 e' u. R" |% S
    Yo baby, are you trippin'? - A  u( f8 t& P+ R7 u+ G' j
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. 7 X1 ?/ Q$ Q+ ^1 ]; o, t- n
    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
6 S1 ?' ~  H, g6 D/ [' m  x, H8 M2 e: P: y. [7 H) r
5. She is a ho
4 w0 o! F7 l0 ~# d5 W" `( A. x; j3 i& r  m
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
1 J' O* w% e, F' z! b7 g    They are (were) hos.
" ]3 q, f4 L' R    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
; \4 S# i5 g8 y1 p. f  e$ p, L" P" m) |( U9 ?& k1 p
6. Catch you later!
4 m- S" O5 L, c4 |+ t0 ^5 E% @, P
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等) 2 N% U  Z; }/ n+ ^! N7 G2 X; v
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. 1 _4 G* L) a( T9 R9 R8 D
