1. It's cool.
9 O. ]5 T( c  ^
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. 所以可以说: 2 z6 r% g# K) J7 |( ?" h/ y7 a
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
- ?" b1 a2 P. E    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
, l/ Z( d& a+ V/ \" @. Y! s1 X! c6 |6 D# f* }* `) Y
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。因此,也可以说: 9 r% y( Q9 a' w4 v1 Q
She (He) was cool in the past.
2 R  m, x9 F7 o! [' I2 ^& `4 P5 F    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) 8 S) g" z8 V* Z) ~1 [
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
4 H2 p' L* z/ |% d. }/ u. j0 }4 F2 C# u( E" I3 R
但是如果说:Are you cool? Z, X
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not & }" y0 q0 C) t. T8 W
    emotional. + ?6 g" x) n+ ^5 ^4 A: `
    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) $ l6 }* @+ u% q! C

) T9 l- P# Y, r2. Are you trippin'?
) q1 q1 w# N4 \6 {3 l+ C' {0 p0 G: H/ p. K; k
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: - \2 V( i; z8 B0 v- o& d
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) 9 Z/ x+ }  [1 d( P0 E
    She (he) is trippin'. . l- i# S& _2 k
Mr. A must be trippin'. ) R6 B! I) L8 ]5 K2 d8 P- c; d4 `
6 E" F* U  W6 \; ?1 a $ k6 C. H) j9 v4 z
3. He is a nerd
5 @) f$ I: Q) L  h. N) U8 r+ M# ]& v/ P1 f
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
    He used to be a nerd in high school 4 A7 o7 p7 `# p7 T$ r9 m# _
1 S' @) A" P; @( @7 m
4. Yo baby. s& f# p5 A8 V. T+ k
' ~+ u5 f7 Y8 A  K: j
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: * S% r- G* C5 {0 W2 I
    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
! z# i  T* u, h5 J3 H( Z& ]( zMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
诸如: + Q( N1 k+ l4 T- H: G# Z
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
# V; l7 |$ ^4 v' n# h8 T: p- g
% ]8 F4 E, p5 }1 V  W8 [- z5. She is a ho6 \! y9 M9 D! H5 {$ U) I

(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
8 T7 c% n# l, I) Y- [) q    They are (were) hos. 1 H5 x' d- F9 i8 c6 T
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) 9 j& v! d5 J6 S& f5 m- p

( `0 }4 i8 R& }% A: q# n6. Catch you later!
) i4 ]8 R& R( @* e) q: a+ i8 l1 ~. o; N" l
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
( k: {# N- p9 y, ]有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. 1 L% s8 k* w) Y" Q4 z; @
