- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information2 K' F1 Z- ?6 j8 g( n0 f( e
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
' K: y# P; X4 ~) ?- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
f B( F! R$ v" W- X- provide support to ISP staff/ H" M8 b8 F2 p7 ]5 k' i$ i) e/ c
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
8 r5 I" I, S6 d: M3 p& h0 v7 i- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
1 k" b& p+ x/ c: G( o- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
$ d! \* Q# ]1 z" P1 y* U+ v- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants- A* a9 W- v: ~ e/ l, D
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals, o" p- D( {$ E2 C# i
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder# B, k L& Y4 V1 A q9 o1 q
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.: u( F! ]' ?1 }$ Q, v
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities8 K* x3 i5 r9 C. d0 b$ W
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

; d a( q3 e3 _9 h8 D" x# m" V% m/ H- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered; R' ]7 v- {0 F
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available: b. u1 X1 y! g3 R3 b9 a: t
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers1 W& Y& l1 T! z& U) m& o7 E8 R
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software5 z, g# [/ `5 O8 {
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)) L' s# ?4 r# T, N$ q: a `5 Q! a
- good interpersonal and people skills: Y1 e* E9 i, R, h0 e
- good organizational and coordination skills: K- R: N! D4 \3 H
- valid driver’s license
