- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
3 n- }% r0 N& h( K5 R- j- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
1 a. ?# G" V# D2 J/ s-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
/ i* P9 @  V6 `1 y/ J- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
1 c( D3 e( [9 F- B/ C$ @- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
( D* J6 e* v6 M- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
- other duties as assigned

  S$ L' p" k+ f9 }$ _& K+ \Qualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
! d7 N; h2 }! l3 _- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
7 M8 ^0 R. V- Q; w- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
