Job Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
. g2 {2 C2 c4 w/ u, u-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
* A4 R3 q9 T* t/ D* q2 ?+ @- provide support to ISP staff
" c6 j" ~8 s) B3 g+ S3 K) C& K3 }6 B- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
  b9 A2 c; D0 p, H" i- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
  X" h  j: }* w- R- T- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
$ d( W+ Z. Z* {  z- _4 g- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
6 W5 f- z; k& R* `- i% \- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
/ ]2 U* A5 d* e- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

2 T* g0 |$ E8 _3 l" Q2 e- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
