I'm going to bring my dad to visit Banff in April 上旬. Can anyone please suggest the hotel? Is it too dangerous to drive to Jasper around that time? If it is not safe driving to Jasper,  I'm thinking to spent 2 nights in Banff area. Please also suggest the place to visit besides Lake Louis.

, M5 A" M- m0 x2 o. VI'm think to live in Canmore maybe it's cheaper.
My question is if I drive from Banff to Jasper how long would it take? In the middle of the way there is a Columbia Icefield. But I saw in a website it's only open after Apr. 16th.
& R6 f+ {  _9 B& g! m0 z: g. ?3 f; ?So if I can not see the Icefield then maybe there is no point to drive to Jasper from Banff?
