Duties
5 _: h0 b9 M6 ?5 ]/ N ?Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)3 h( E% I+ @9 r( V/ u; v
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required0 g7 }7 `& R. m7 n
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed* E$ [% l/ b% N) E. [
Performs related tasks as needed3 t& N3 }' u3 J E* u: r# m% P
Qualifications+ y5 V$ E$ X+ K$ `0 H+ h- R Q" v
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred1 z# L, [% h! ]6 q' f8 k
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred% G/ N% [% q. D6 \' z% P
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
# c* u' S* N4 g3 `% M1 N% pKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
; l1 K1 }* h. K* U# v/ z7 aFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
