動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back., m8 W+ ]& m3 N6 d
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。1 G# K( {. X, l& n- i9 k

/ A! C% Q* {# q9 WThe boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.! P  O6 G; b4 T. `
$ O' V" \5 \# V5 ]( f5 @, p: K
這男孩不過5、6歲。

+ z& U& e& E1 }  ^. s' Q' S" [The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,: m$ \1 B' s% O: E$ S0 R
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' ', ~( h' Q) o# \7 M
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

My heart nearly stopped.

  o( R, l) [* E% D# ^" u% sThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '! F% U: O5 N* C. K. Z$ k# A

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '( |4 y5 T& |% m. J+ E

Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '6 F1 J/ n. K; Z1 k8 ^

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

0 r7 s& Y, d7 T, f/ y, YThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young

6 u+ H( z, u9 C我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。3 s) T9 n2 H* |$ t- c7 e
1 J; A% c+ O. L* Q6 F  G( {" w- j
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical4 f0 A5 m9 i& v5 z
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the' t8 B5 A: k! X. l; @
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.
0 E/ g  J% w7 U& Q7 e6 ~3 A小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

! a2 b, P4 Q8 CTwo days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.% B! N# c/ |7 V8 K) f& i, J& g
碰到小男孩的二天之後,我看了報紙年輕少婦過世了。

+ [6 C( a3 x; s# _I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial./ I4 d, Q- e1 v" N$ k  y& d
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。

; e. T) L9 o9 uShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.- t$ `) T/ L$ _7 W2 b( L. y, A. H

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is
