Job Description

Responsibilities:
. ?9 x  k2 n! [5 d' N- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- f) ~1 t: R" J+ n- Recruit children for summer program
: _" h) d: E# b; t% T! T- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
! v- C  A  {4 L1 `/ d7 c  E- Supervise volunteer(s)
9 _) V+ ^7 H/ ~  F, t+ Z+ X- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

- d, s2 y0 i$ I* O1 Y# V- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
' I/ G# _5 E- R* ?' b- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
8 R& O- U8 v$ R  B% _- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
/ f; Q7 s) T- L! e" d- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
! k) `/ U" R2 n7 k/ F) f

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
