Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
( a- w2 V. z( ]Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
/ Q) w$ E1 P$ i: Z7 T) V0 }6 _. b- Supervise volunteer(s)
& `; @! q( I) Z% M2 `1 A0 z! {/ I- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
2 f! ?: v, g/ B( I- j) ~1 S; Y* a- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
* x& B; ^  V. ^- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
! s$ E0 F  _$ H7 s) _' K- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
* R9 s" R) ]* D- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
8 @6 S( u0 F1 j# ?- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
