Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator. z4 O% E" s! f* a$ D

- Organize focus group(s)
; j) |/ Y2 {+ F8 M5 ]+ B; x" W- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports) l9 e' g7 S7 l! r8 Q6 F7 d
- Recruit children for summer program; Q( N6 U' c3 l# n1 j2 v
- Provide orientation for parents. K0 k' L4 ~4 n& _* c
- Find sponsors to enhance program
) F+ }1 E: n1 \% ~' @2 D- Supervise volunteer(s) u5 m$ y% U; j* S
- Prepare final report for funding agency

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
. W/ j/ u. Y0 v. b- good coordinating and interpersonal skills

4 c) N" Z6 O" i- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities9 F8 i( d1 @( h. Z. D
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset5 L( v& p% a- ^2 i/ c
- good computer skills; c8 ~6 A& E+ W" F/ f. z) M) P+ }' o
- leadership abilities& \8 F, t1 X2 p( y9 P3 X, w+ ^
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision' R9 u) h5 `6 t( F* `

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
