Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order1 q6 h2 G L v* e

1) Old Scona Academic

3) Arch Bishop MacDonald' z* b* g, R, s5 w( t
9 A, |! O! @+ x5 v. jStrathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know.

+ D5 c$ i+ G, H rAnyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)" D% E) ?) l7 v$ i- @! t; C0 c+ ~) ~

( w2 l; r# s; t% t7 XVic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school... J+ v" E6 C9 R! d" D7 l

Otherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)
