Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

1) Old Scona Academic6 O6 N* Y j. n" y
2) Harry Ainlay! M8 r: a' [- D
3) Arch Bishop MacDonald$ ]( {$ @0 S2 F
U/ G( W; v: N6 C! q+ `Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know.

7 J4 D& H; l0 U) S- l( ]9 rAnyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)0 v1 W& E9 v& {- h3 c0 j% n- [) Z2 r

For students that have a passion for arts:+ q/ D' k7 h2 `, V9 Z6 G1 G
Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school... s/ J" R8 ^9 r7 q! t

0 k0 Q) v$ P5 N$ uLike I said, I graduated from high school a few years ago, maybe rankings have changed. But when I was in high school, this is what the schools I previously named above were well-known for. Hope this helped! |
