Orientation 2006: The Action Starts Here! Your registration in the University of

3 Y- ~) {& I! C* v+ w! a0 S/ [(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
' U# V ~1 |8 ]4 Q2 F3 dattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
. q1 O0 c2 a( y0 Q! R8 Jinformation that will make your transition to the University community

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 2 }' l- G ^+ l3 O j
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 9 O- A2 ~; z1 P/ \5 \" Y
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth

+ n* s" ?/ S: B' j) JBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ~8 R/ D; C" K2 I m* N7 E
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
' U' M0 x; k8 e! f4 U7 oa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
: t& Z* @( C- P' N3 {$ K! |/ Zevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in ; `; A/ `* U8 j0 [- R
Hawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
8 @5 t4 W" `8 E9 p" ~September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 6 p4 X# ]" ^9 c
and then continue to meet with for the entire year. \) q4 Y' b) J/ } o! B! e& ~

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 9 E; N* B2 M+ a- u/ D7 J5 y. c- k
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
$ ?- f) \* I- E+ C9 T2 ?: p. _) W/ nyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your ) N( X& _9 q% g
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
/ |6 w( k n- Zyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece : h: g$ J1 M6 f: t
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus ' X+ U2 \, Q+ M* ?( E
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
, Z8 U( M3 O$ h1 t5 A, IInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ! \5 @: C; m% q5 }- |
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the : f/ q* Q; p% ?
two days of Orientation).
