A male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.0 b4 q: k# D) g T# J
1 k, l, G6 j' C% J6 c; oPolice arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident. 4 L2 P- ?3 F1 b/ y$ y% h# o/ m; _) q' L0 E2 C4 N3 a( T! `) m
A search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses. The man is charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. 6 V% e4 f+ v# k# E2 B) G) S. d8 A. ^! O# ^* O+ z& V
A man wearing a balaclava and holding a handgun was seen in the area on two previous occasions — the first at 4 p.m. last Friday near the Snow Valley ski hill parking lot and on Saturday on the Terwillegar Drive footbridge. - ?8 {7 \9 m z
