What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
1 H4 D9 o. ]5 u9 q7 mEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:! h2 D# ^& G- {# @- x; S9 Y. J2 ]
1) Any bodily injury or death;
6 Q5 _2 @5 E: M/ }* E3 v/ {- j2) A Hit-and-Run;& o' x8 I5 i1 t
3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;% a6 R# v& b. \: o" o
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
3 r3 N8 a. l( _5) An out-of-province vehicle.

6 K( B8 P/ W3 `+ p9 f3 b9 k9 kNormally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
