immigrants are highly educated and experienced, yet many may find it

What is the practice?

• technical English language skills

• first-aid training, and

What is the evidence of success?5 h4 o `$ _9 A( W$ P& c
As of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have$ M& U' C0 D- w# A# v" `. W+ N
found engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.6 d6 O+ x( @! @5 b
In 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of- F& t# z4 C7 u8 c
graduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,, I; \4 i2 X5 M4 e& D5 ]
with over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.
