immigrants are highly educated and experienced, yet many may find it

recognize their international experience or credentials.

Integrated training offers a blend of occupation-related skills, a work

The ETIP program involves four phases:

immigrants and the shortage of engineering technologists in the

As of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
2 X" s$ R I$ g; T, Pfound engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.' S! J9 j3 }$ Y% \& g2 h+ p
In 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of e! ^1 Z( [. `5 G; A4 \# h; a4 w
graduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,
7 A' ^9 X; r2 Z5 hwith over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.
