Key Responsibilities & Duties:

! ?; i: [! r( y: m; ] Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
* p5 m8 u3 x2 m0 T( W& V Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
. h# p9 _  m- w; J3 z Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ `$ N/ V/ W& t1 f) U Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
% L; v0 N9 @0 q- i Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
( w, d" r1 Y( _' H
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% {: y; V2 c. h; E9 X+ e Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
/ |1 O7 v4 V! h, ~ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
5 @1 Y( x4 Q/ T$ L4 z Knowledge of community resources.
# ~# R6 H8 a7 D% A Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
