Key Responsibilities & Duties:

' N( C1 f. m4 M- u0 T" c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ X. U& D) ]2 z; F Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
7 b6 `) G( K3 G; ?6 `7 p! W. w2 p: J( G Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
) r) f6 A" }* K+ S5 k7 V) w Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
$ c/ }, s+ h0 Y6 t  s: q# l Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

. e: [4 r+ p, ^0 }/ u, c Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.

0 A7 B. H' q& ^5 [; t* t Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
& I' w4 V0 A" Q6 j& o% nThere is a 3-month probationary period.
