 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
5 U$ T$ |1 B" Q( U0 f Completing required paperwork.
. m. y/ D& k3 l+ \0 {( { Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
/ H6 J7 n# x2 {7 z$ D0 h) O Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, K; G0 c0 d. }4 Y- d0 a( T Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
  {5 d+ z: z; O1 N8 L7 v Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
" g6 C% y* J8 v1 d
2 c* E- s$ H: N) K) `% d* |, n$ m Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
: y- p( `; ^: H! J  _ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
  k6 d7 f+ s5 W! s Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
/ V' X5 G5 J# V! ?, O% o Knowledge of community resources.
/ a% d3 \* Z' L3 v7 `. ? Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
+ _  J. M6 E+ ^6 hThere is a 3-month probationary period.
