Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
! J1 I/ |( C' L# |7 o$ u! @ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
* p- q2 Y% [! E' | Completing required paperwork.
$ M; @$ H5 Q6 }8 |5 k Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
) z- {1 a2 T5 t9 K& y Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
" T4 Q+ M" z! d. j$ x Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
5 }; M( _4 h4 Y1 U Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
5 t. @2 I- [% ? Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" {3 `8 U2 M/ d7 D7 i7 f Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
' a/ c! K2 `/ S: p, M. w$ K+ K/ `# h Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
# m, x, r# O) W' U  v( o9 I Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
7 U" g: ^$ `4 _/ X+ l Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
% ~" E/ j  s! Z3 U% ~' a6 C  RThere is a 3-month probationary period.
