& B; g# j* G/ SOn Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.5 Q& a# c y1 b
5 F0 i8 V; M$ a4 CBring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:( g. v; a7 G# w5 L# W% A/ U* ]1 `3 o
. k" a* S8 W0 |7 ylearning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
6 J# u# Q8 S8 u1 ndigging for and examining fossils
0 u' a1 H g) lexploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
- M) q- |2 F! ginvestigating insects
0 s5 g1 `; D& B6 E/ y% c, Xand much more!2 l/ u% _" [6 u4 G- C6 U/ N4 d ]& n
“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation.$ k/ E' A( z# s2 c$ l" K) o
