March 7th: the University of Alberta Museums’ annual Science Sunday for kids!

On Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, the University of Alberta Museums present the annual Science Sunday, an afternoon of discovery for kids aged 5 to 12.: s3 [- h5 s5 {# {2 s8 ?* D& A
/ c, A0 ~; _4 J
Bring your children, grandchildren, or young friends to explore the natural sciences through a wide range of hands-on activities, including:2 N# i# w9 R5 y3 u4 Y2 k) O' \8 E. T( U
6 F4 ?+ I( _* ]/ h$ d
learning about animal noises with John Acorn, the Nature Nut
' u- L/ N6 T3 _& n4 D% sdigging for and examining fossils ; M0 P7 W- [# r3 z" @5 I" `
exploring the impact of meteorites on the surface of the earth
& E2 y$ x! e* O2 _investigating insects , @" E1 C( c% _4 Q2 `6 E
and much more!
4 n7 O$ C! Y9 L( O+ P( c“Junior researchers” can drop in any time during the afternoon with an adult chaperone to participate. Pre-registration is not required. Admission is by donation., [6 \( C+ @% z3 v& D1 I

Science Sunday is located in the Earth Sciences Building on the U of A Campus, just off of Saskatchewan Drive. Pay parking is available in Lot N on 111th Street.
