followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at
SUB
9 L2 i( J& ?3 J5 [/ ^theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
4 D: n) G, c! M, z, n' rthe
$ O& y( Z2 K: j$ B. X6 U8 qCantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
5 Q8 I5 i8 k& {+ A& T* RAchievements
8 q$ C/ {5 m- W9 j8 J9 \7 Xin Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts

0 w& T  C: `, J  z# UCouncil.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

performance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a

5 t: e; I6 s! M  ?' ?3 dsongs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
Hong Kong
