ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

& J4 Y3 k I/ t$ aThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Qualifications:
2 ]1 m- q+ K2 W) K1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.7 ^" x q$ i$ G; y# U6 d
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.( _: @$ B$ i6 o' q" \
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills. Y2 v8 w* i, b
4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
