ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action. & a' i8 H! The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans./ U, }) @1 L/ l0 d& H7 i

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field., \. G0 K1 x. {& V; M+ R; \: Q

Qualifications:
2 H# E8 V3 o1 B9 v, G' ^1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.; }+ c% [. d/ F N
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.( J. p& a2 {5 {0 w( Q. ^
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
