ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Community Initiatives Documenter/ ^* a+ @7 D; C. v b0 v$ R
The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.$ G4 I1 B8 h8 A

1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.# w3 i1 Z. x }5 s* |
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.8 B, w' D- W2 D5 S; v8 L% n3 t
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.! `/ K0 Q U2 G& T# @. s. o
4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people., \0 M* g- r! A4 J
