JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
( n* d0 w2 r. R0 n1 }2 |* o" o; aOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
5 ]# x4 u8 l: yprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
( h: i7 j$ w4 v% b& i( scleanliness and order in the bar.

% o, E8 k8 ~- Q. n. R+ ODUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

  F! r5 j5 k# O$ J$ V2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

8 _. c1 `, ]$ W2 H6 L) k3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
, o5 B/ g: N4 W( I% e5 Qeach shift, and upon closing.

, J% f% c( C4 B* k3 n6 b  \4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

  r3 t! ~: U. N" K- w$ a6 F) n7 A. n5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
( d6 K6 G% J+ N  ]3 i' Wmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
" V+ F* L% n0 R" Mhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
/ c' w" H4 }7 k8 I4 A' e* e# X3 T+ k( Taccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
' [: i+ A0 q  s" T  ]# |high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
9 V$ T% e0 _8 u* g! UAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

' ]9 |3 |. h1 \8 J- v9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
6 k3 h$ {4 P( C" g6 E1 v. \, fSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

% J% @. b0 U4 O6 D* CQUALIFICATIONS:
' q3 \7 C5 O: m5 v  ?  _1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
' C( \$ e4 k$ \" jaccordance with Students' Union policy.

) ~% e7 e( C6 s6 L5 I" _/ H  I4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
9 _( J: _2 Y7 t8 `2 cattitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
