JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the
# l+ K% q6 L/ xOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the
, r/ [+ h6 `; a" o5 O4 P" nprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,

5 A$ C% X4 I1 Q' A. ~DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:6 `1 P4 s' F! y7 U0 R& J! A
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and 9 R( y2 d& h/ R
beverage items.4 y. ?4 U3 L- d e! Z
, n2 y J; x$ O0 x4 y G0 u2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the , L& S, _3 E$ V4 T: n
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
* M2 s& m) O) h+ Feach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular / h3 f/ a0 C' W% g5 S; H8 ]0 K1 d
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and & m ]/ ~! q* M
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.' v- x! {: p9 R! M
8 D3 V2 J0 }4 x( R! T7 m5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in
- X- R2 @; M( [6 W3 g+ g; X& dstorage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol & S+ Q, S; I! ^- o" u7 W7 p0 \
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.9 @! M, j/ J5 w4 W# H$ W, J( I) N$ C
& M" M8 j4 h5 F) |9 ?, F6 @& m
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close ' u, x& \5 Q# q* m- F
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a ; D/ f) T4 ]: L4 w
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in * L% r4 n$ t1 z6 z! F
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a
: G1 B( s( t- q2 f( d6 U. Fhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,

QUALIFICATIONS:8 b1 u" n6 V; ?; r
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

$ i6 R8 e" o# |2 f2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume
/ d% a' C. m# N: @3 ~" f. toperation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in 3 n+ L6 C5 x& s9 l8 `$ X

9 R# r5 s6 k6 [) B" k/ u4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
