JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the V' d9 j7 j+ S1 `- _7 t' V
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for ) W0 P- c' y! y3 f0 ]( v
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of
4 {. P3 B, l& g3 f/ jcustomer service and room cleanliness.

5 K: @8 D: }0 G7 rDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;( V- R, N$ {% v( X7 o8 U& j
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage
* `, ]5 r: o+ a* Lorders.5 i+ x/ k3 c- U; U6 a7 }
9 h( k9 L; ?; i- M2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a
" H% u& l3 @$ F) Y7 ~: A# shigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in
% ~8 r" j7 Q$ ?accordance with Students' Union policies.- f, K- L* s; K4 _

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the 1 K1 T& t2 ~8 N9 R$ Q0 F
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.: ]& v) M3 c: P: p& J2 B& P# g

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness, 0 {4 I3 m* Q$ k) x, c
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal
$ ~. _7 ^, S; L0 u' }' W0 [and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate
9 T) ]* Z. }4 J7 N- x) J. Qaction when necessary in accordance with established Server
( R1 V( H" t6 F: l! [intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
! o, l9 x2 j1 }* j) Z: t* C1 W9 H6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health 3 j2 K" n4 z$ {6 s

QUALIFICATIONS;2 {6 a3 C; G! D2 ^8 V
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.1 I# x, ^# ]4 `8 b W
' n0 F, @+ H' m' [) r+ M2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based
* r: ~7 g" D6 O# a! Toperation.# x. V* l9 y& J" ?' T& j

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union
* b$ k, ?$ ~" Q. k- R- wpolicy.

; c# A* n: o% J; L' e4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge $ J$ t6 K7 @! A* |5 t8 S
card transactions.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
