$ x8 ]5 A, _5 x. \9 X11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
! H! v' t( d. E8 t& wBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.
+ J5 `" q( P* O3 y( ^1 L

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
$ ]3 V- I. ?; R1 h9 B- q& ]! Q
$ W4 i2 \# i+ R- n2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
3 \7 [6 M5 T( n# w# h+ M6 `high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
7 l* v7 v) X6 }/ Y# n6 u* K
/ w& K% v0 s4 }5 [# ^3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
3 A- \: K' x$ R0 s2 D; h( L
+ c& {, n8 a# G' w4 R4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

6 T3 p, }) i5 o2 e7 ^; N+ C5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
. l# o. R, m# V- I; o% ]action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
  I4 W2 x% P7 o& Z& D' PAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: p% {' z4 J  ^' b- B6 V7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
' r, t$ A  t) |7 q0 ?& Z" rManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
% F' V. \% B$ a( T, C1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
  n) P8 N" ^7 p; J4 m
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
  L  p  l. e7 rpolicy.
/ l* ^5 d( z3 M0 i& l
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
3 p1 c8 ^! q0 B0 V3 x* kcard transactions.

$ F/ K6 H7 _: Y$ \' `5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
' H* p' Z7 X( {+ _% R5 w; Wpurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
