11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

& P8 K9 L( {8 h2 C) kJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

: e/ W! [' T# a* c- n; d( ?* I
# ]. G! y  C: m* V( x! |4 r3 hDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
, @0 G  Y: S7 f8 @1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
( j+ O9 P6 l) k9 shigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
- a) l" \0 g4 @; l$ R$ I% Z9 Ototal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
  \. r3 M6 e" @# Z
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
9 r' |) [) k  Y# \2 _including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
0 k7 Y: r3 p4 @2 n) U+ L- L: F
" E4 _# L! h. z6 c: v5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
% [0 ]* ]  R- Q# w- {3 Y3 V6 }intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

5 h& S0 T; @4 W; j! K& A9 h7 y' E/ |QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
9 ]  `: [5 A4 r  i  B5 \' d% W
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
+ t7 Y( o0 j/ D7 i+ e- r# H" joperation.
! d5 c4 S8 o) n, R, J0 L9 h
" N) S2 Y6 _; T# i5 k; X$ t8 H9 H: }3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
: }3 X' p9 r' G* y  S% K+ ]
  V. B' P! M4 E5 `1 N; I3 j4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
$ h: {5 H2 m# i1 ~3 qcard transactions.

  Q* I+ r: I9 L0 a7 W5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
) k: b9 f, M. U3 ]professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
