The data from MLS and Comfree show supplier more than demand, i am not sure if more pepole buying new homes now.

The MLS and Comfree data doesn't show "supply is more than demand" at all, it just tells how many houses were sold to people that decide to buy a house+like the house+can afford the house. Based on the sale percentage, you can tell how hot the market is and 'demand >> supply' will last for a long time. 5 f# F" Z' ?$ P8 W

) H% ^/ _; R# q( F% pYou can find housing starts data from this site: http://cansim2.statcan.ca/cgi-wi ... amp;ArrayId=0270042 but you have to pay for the data. The other one is http://www.statcan.ca/Daily/English/070404/d070404a.htm, based on the amount of permits, you can kind of caculate how many new building permits were issued thus how many new houses start to build. |
