Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
3 e8 ~  o% ^( E5 Z# b/ @7 Spay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
' @: g5 E$ l+ E/ ~- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
- i  }5 Z  v" ^/ }9 G8 uparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
( G, |' X% g) D" Xassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
# O* x$ X& H) M2 v  k2 X  Bvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
% M4 p5 v5 V& Z, c) ]/ h" _1 Loutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
( ~* t+ X( e" Zexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents

: S: T7 [0 |1 [presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
; ?5 h! B& s7 r) |* X, r1 H9 ^/ |% sCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
3 j  u+ \! c& Q- Z- W" a# \; sfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
; W' X6 W, ]- [) {: bdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
2 I, v  D6 x* z/ ha variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
' W# \) B: P, R# V& D4 ~Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
