Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30

the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
( u! R; y6 \9 ?, t' A: t& Nschool year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at& U) J+ u# d2 g6 [- R2 p8 y
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
8 c( W! o4 N# U2 j* D$ Mvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,/ [- P7 j3 Z& C1 T1 z, \
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
- J5 L" X7 \5 i2 {7 F7 n& }) M+ J5 zparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
) Z4 J% L; D7 A$ _their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
7 E( p4 [2 \1 y# Ftheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
9 \! H, n0 w! x* `, ]$ rassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
- s; a7 a% i, A3 ^/ rvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city/ g9 _, g/ X/ ^* K* Y
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city' h7 q1 X& V2 D& Y# ]
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
( e$ Y S* P$ B+ uexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
. c8 m9 @; T# C% @8 Pfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
% V: d. L) Z9 ] k5 v6 U+ S* S# Hsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint- m) f+ f, C7 q2 ^( R1 }) R; `
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc. 9 O- s& f3 X) S; P' \, F

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
7 F/ j$ |& J# ]! u. @1 ~Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate" d. K1 h% u* O/ U) j" ~
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,2 p& h1 X& M# {7 k2 q( x* c
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake8 f$ m! G& M9 R: j# N' P$ v1 G
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those( E" I/ ]) P2 L4 D+ a/ [; ^ P4 D
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
$ p* h9 D& ]! _" \skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,. U7 h. S' j( g- P6 v2 j1 d
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,. {, J, Q1 }6 [7 Z8 D0 B# {( u
experience coordinating group activities an asset. & `7 P+ J6 ?9 y4 ]3 ]
